<<<  Brian's favourite photo of Michael at 7 months.  He was a cute baby!  Now he is heading well into middle age!

Christmas 2003 with Keith's family on our new patio

Brian and Craig have been riding together to get fit - Parramatta Park is a favourite place

Onny (short for Onyx) arrived as replacement therapy after Lady died and Libby disappeared early 2003.  He immediately submitted to Brian's stringent discipleship program - aim straight in life and don't pee into the wind or you'll get your own back...  (He was killed in mid 2007 - see article)
Our home in 2001 - Zoe Leiman from Zimbabwe and her family of 7 lived with us for 9 months Momma Elizabeth teaching pancake making to Leimans and Pavys on a sleepover weekend Jan 1969 - the way we were 37 years ago… Brian's kid brother (Barry) celebrating his 50th birthday in his "tax" Dodge Challenger - NZ Drag Racing Championships Feb 99
Joyce's choice for Keith on his 59th birthday. (his remote control habits are legendary in Shepparton)...

<<<  Typical birdlife on
our balcony  >>>

AFRICA
2003 presenting Anacleto with Holroyd NLC gift study Bible 2003 Hwange pan old lions watched us and the game at dusk 2003 Gweru, child was delivered from blindness and paralysis after a witchdoctor cursed him and his mother for refusing to marry her dead husband's brother...

We have put  this wonderful photo of Mick's pet kingfisher in because Mick and Sue were so good to Brian in accommodating him, and Mick's own artistic gift centres on bird life
Mick took Brian to this river spot where these birds nest in the high banks  >>>

far right - Mick's attempt to paint this old man seriously out of control failed because he wouldn't stop laughing... Sadly, the man is now dying of AIDS (8/03)

We were "robbed" at Victoria Falls 2001.  This thief and his accomplices stole our bread, sugar, and tea by climbing through the bars... Moses and Wadzanai at George Moyo's church, Bulawayo 2001 2001: Debbie shared in the sudza at Bulawayo- and looked joyful (with her fork)... George Gapara took us for a 14 hour safari in Hwange NP.  (Simantella camp overlooks the plains and animals)
Brian showing off his new preachers' coat in Bulawayo handmade by a Doulos student  (he paid for it...) 2001 Night falls on the Zambezi - Reuben and Brian keep the wild animals away! July 2000 Mana Pools NP Next day we walked for hours beside the Zambezi (Zambia on the other side) with a guard and an AK47 for protection! June 2000 visit to Beira Training House - Brian with his interpreter, Pastor Anacleto

Alice, student at Bulawayo, made on order this jacket for Brian

2000 Beira Base rusting away with concrete cancer (like us)

Mana Pools NP - July 2000; the most thrilling sight - a baby leopard watched us for 10 minutes (shot from Leiman's 4WD)

1997 150km sandtrack into Inhaminga, Moz., with supplies and Bibles.  Couldn't go off track for a pee because of landmines everywhere
TRAVEL (more travel on separate webpage)
We visited Anne of Green Gables farmhouse on Prince Edward Island, Eastern Canada, July 2000 (Brian was one of the few males present…) Saint Elizabeth finally got her recognition in the town of Elizabeth in upstate New York - August 2000! On his way back from Zimbabwe June 99, Brian caught up with ex-Sth Africans, Derick and Collette Dove in Perth (pastors of Midland Harvest Church) Jogging on Canada/Washington border with Bruce Elliott and Suzie - drizzling - of course!
SPORT

Leaping Leo Barry's saving mark at the siren - AFL Grand Final 2005 - and the Swans are the Premiers!!

2004 black dash off the Olympic run

The old brigade from Westies Club completed the Fitzroy Falls forest marathon.

Brian crossing the Cox River 2004 during his 12th (and LAST) Six Foot Track Ultramarathon

Four Westies finished 12 to be presented their embossed belts.  Carl Simpson, Mick Kilham, Peter Allen

2003 ski trip - Brian trying to tempt fellow skiers to tackle the Mother-in-law - one of  the more "interesting" runs....
2003 six Foot Track start with Carl, Richard, et al for No. 11... plunging into Cox's River at 16km 2003 alongside Caves Rd, with about 5k to go - for a credible 5hr 54min finish... Oct 2001- Nathan Irwin completed his first marathon Fitzroy Falls in the bush!

98 Ski Trip (we took 10 others and still managed to enjoy it!) Our favourite place - Guthega

Ahhh...  Mt Blue Cow, on a warm afternoon near the end of a perfect day,,,

April 2000 - Craig, Kevin & Brian completed the Olympic  test event Marathon, finishing in the awesome Olympic Stadium. Craig's first;  we were stoked!

Brian and Craig at 40k (near the Stadium) and stuffed!

Our fearless leader in his other rôle (masochist) 1999 - Brian has since run 11 Six Foot Track Ultra-marathons (46km from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves). Not exactly the blind leading the crippled (that came 35 km later - >>> That's Peter Brennan waddling along in the background, moaning about his ankles collapsing already)! They featured this photo on the Six Foot Track website front page Don't believe what we said about how hard this mountain "run" is? The photos speak for themselves… this is only 1500 meters from the start! a 500m descent, mostly down stairs… We holidayed in Tasmania in 1998.  Brian "ran" 65k Cradle Mountain ultra - at the end, he was frozen on the boat down Lake St Clair...
