Welcome to the Lifeline Southern Africa Beira, Mozambique, Beach House Accommodation info site
This webpage is provided to give visitors information about the accommodation available at the Beira Beach House. Click on any photo for the larger original.

Situated
just 3km from the City Square, right on absolute beachfront, the Beach House was
rebuilt by Lifeline volunteers in 1989. Since then, the Beira Beach House
has provided a wide range of facilities that have included accommodation for
guests visiting Beira / Sofala for a few nights or longer stays. The story
of its amazing recovery from sea and cyclone damage , and restoration from
repeated vandalism, are detailed on Lifeline's
website.
Since those days, its location right on the beachfront has provided welcome relief for many missionaries, NGO staff, pilots, and other visitors to the city.
The Beach House has always been run with a Christian-based hospitality and servant mentality. It is not a private hotel, but rather, a private guest house that provides a peaceful and secure base for visitors and temporary workers to Beira and Sofala Province.
Accommodation
is available for single room, doubles, individuals and large groups.
Breakfast and dinner are included. Laundry is also included. A large
common-room (with an extensive library), and a
kitchenette, are available for visitors (photo
is of a USA team of 24 accommodated). >>>
Pick-up and drop-off minibus transport to and from Beira airport can be provided upon request as well.
The standard is basic, clean, spacious, and hospitable. We regularly receive feedback from guests who have enjoyed the friendliness and camaraderie of fellow guests.
The base daily rate is approx. 25% of the going rate at Beira's (few) hotels and payable in $US. Some air-conditioned rooms are available upon request (so helpful in the oppressive summer heat and humidity).
Anacleto and Carmelia Ferrão and their family have made this their home since 2002. Anacleto has been part of the Lifeline Network Advisory Board since 2003. He employs the staff required for the Base to function properly.
And the property is secured by guards at night.
Wireless Broadband access is now accessible at the Beach House and is included in the basic charge.
Nearby
attractions include:
** Restaurant
(100m), and coffee shop (800m walk) that serves a variety of good quality coffees and pastries
;
** Beachside walks and very safe swimming (right outside the gate). A welcome relief from the crush of Beira streets; These photos were taken from the Beach House waterfront side.
