To our Visitors : Welcome! There are no bells and whistles on this site, but it will download quickly, and let you know WHO we are, WHAT we stand for, and WHAT we do. If you’d like to know something more of our Church’s background - go to the Introduction on the menu bar.
We are part of the Christian community in Holroyd City in Sydney's western suburbs - active in combined churches ministry in youth, schools, retirement villages, community liaison and Ministers' Fellowship activities. We believe there is only ONE CHURCH in our district, represented by many expressions of local fellowship. We are committed to growing primarily from evangelism, not by transfer, and enjoy a healthy relationship with many other churches in our area that are similarly committed to the Lordship of Christ and reaching the unchurched with the good news...
Our church actively supports the various ministries functioning under the auspices of the Holroyd Christian Ministers' Fellowship; details on the Combined Churches' website

Missions is a very essential part of our church life and
focus
Since 1982 our church has been involved
in LifeLine Ministries in Southern Africa. We helped fund their
extensive "paper preachers and teachers" literature ministry, and now
the Ministry Development program. Have a look at our OVERSEAS MISSIONS WEBPAGE. Our prayer is it will help you fire up
with Holy Spirit passion for the plight and opportunities that exist RIGHT NOW
within our sphere of influence! It features up-to-date reports on the Zimbabwe
crisis. We
pray; we give; and some of us go!
Ministry reports
Holroyd New Life Church has been involved in high
school SRE since 1990. With several other churches in our district, we
currently help support the Coordinators in five high schools and a Combined
Churches representative covering the 23 primary schools in our District. Two are from our
church - Michelle Burns (Holroyd HS) and Kefas Makava (Greystanes HS). A continual stream of students have
been involved in Bible study, youth activities, camps, and Sunday meetings in
local churches. The majority are from unchurched homes. We also have a team
of volunteers teaching in both primary and high schools.
It was a real joy in late 2006 to ordain our most recent youth leader, James Roberts, who came from an unchurched background and came to Christ through the schools' ministry.
Our discipling program covers not only Bible teaching foundations, but also lifestyle skills. It has been recently upgraded, and is now being used by other churches. Praise God! Some of these young people have brought much chaos with them! But also much life and joy to our church! The slow process continues - of changing the mindset so they begin to think and act (and react) as a Christian. We pray the change in their lives will speak to their families too.
If you are interested in financially supporting the SRE ministry, it's a tax-deductible, registered charity. Contact our office for details.
