Bi-monthly Ministers' Fellowship meets formally every second month. We meet next at Holroyd NLC's office (106A Jersey Rd, Greystanes) - parking best in cul-de-sac entered from Merrylands Rd) - at 2pm, Tuesday October 19. These regular gatherings are open to all who are active in Christian service in our district.

Holroyd Ministry Development College Unit #10-3 is an Intensive over Thurs & Fri Aug 26 & 27 (6.30-9.30pm), and Sat. Aug 27 (9.00-3.30pm) - Topic - "The Broad Perspective of Pastoral Care". This is for everyone - not just a paid few "professionals". Learn skills relevant to the Priesthood of Every Believer - caring effectively for children, youth, aged, infirm, and handicapped people.

Special keynote speaker is Garry McMahon (well-known in our district as former director of Life After Prisons (LAP),, and now senior minister of Telopea Church of Christ - a church with a long history of ministering to the marginalised); Garry will especially cover "the spirit of caring for the marginalised" (including the element of evangelism embedded in pastoral care of non-members. Go to the website for details and registration. The costs of the Unit are covered by freewill offerings (including the meal).

33rd Annual Holroyd Mayoral Prayer Dinner – Aug 31st, 7pm - this year’s special guest speaker is NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione. Location will be again Merrylands RSL's Swan Room. Bookings are essential - by email on hmf@hnlc.org.au or by phoning 98962514 or Max Dundas on 9637-1208. The cost has been reduced this year to $35 per head.

	MINISTERS’ AND LEADERS' Spring Retreat 10.00am – 4.00pm, Mon. Sept. 20th at the historic Edmond Rice Conference Centre, “Winbourne” , Mulgoa. We hope that you will pass on this invitation to some of the other key leaders in your church and encourage them to join in too . $35 will cover morning tea, lunch, and retreat facilities in the Winbourne Room. Once again this year our Spring Retreat Day is open to Ministers and Leaders from amongst our Holroyd family of Churches. Our purpose includes making space for private retreat from the routine ministry responsibilities. We primarily seek to create an environment for mutual fellowship, encouragement, reflection, communication, understanding and growth ACROSS THE DIFFERENCES OF OUR TRADITIONS AND THEOLOGY. Meeting together as a significant, representative community within the Christian Church of Holroyd can build our individual church ministries as we ‘grow tall and strong together’. We plan a simple agenda with time for personal meditation on God’s Word, then listening to each other share something of the resultant challenge or encouragement for our personal growth in life and ministry.
